Are you always breaking promises to yourself? Especially in the beginning of a New Year? Well we have some effortless ways to set you up for success this time!
Let’s call them promises this year instead of resolutions.
And let’s take them 30 days at a time instead of an entire year. 12 months of anything right now seems like too much a commitment. Can we get an Amen?
We are laying out your effortless plan for 2021 right here so here we go:
-Make 3 promises to yourself that you know you can keep for the next 30 days. Write them down, keep them in your phone, and look at them every day. Make sure they are effortless things that are reasonable & achievable.
-Putting the promises into 30 day chunks make it effortless and not seem so out of reach that you have to plan out your entire year based on one day.
-Calling them effortless promises instead of resolutions, makes it personal. A effortless promise to yourself that you won’t break will make you feel motivated and proud that you didn’t break them.
-When you feel like giving in, and you will feel like that at some point–Talk to yourself and tell yourself how impressed you are that you have come this far. You can do anything you set your mind to, and you may have broken promises to yourself in the past, but you’re not letting that happen this time. It’s just 30 effortless days. You can do it!
-After the first 30 days, you will make three new effortless promises for the next 30, or keep your same 3 from the month before.
-The fun of this is being able to switch up your effortless promises each month. You can also track your progress, revisit previous promises, and see how far you have come, just after 30 days.
Our team came up with their top 3 for this first 30 days:
1. Wake up an hour earlier each day–Setting the alarm clock an hour earlier each day will make this achievable for everyone.
2. Work out for at least 30-45 minutes 5 days a week–creating a new workout playlist to our favorite jams will help us look forward to the workouts with the extra hour we now have in our day.
3.Drink more water--We are all going to get cute water bottles and keep it with us all day so it’s never out of sight. This will make this promise reasonable and achievable.
By this time next year we can feel good about our 30 day chunks and realize that breaking things down bit by bit feels satisfying. It feels more real.
Let’s get these first 30 days going!
Let us know if you think you can stick to it!
